Sapphire Description
This stunning 2.2 carat unheated peach sapphire, cut into an elegant pear shape, is an exceptional choice for a truly distinctive piece of fine jewellery. Its warm peach tones radiate a soft yet captivating brilliance, offering a refined alternative to traditional hues. The delicate colour balance and clarity recall the gentle luminosity admired in a fine Ceylon Sapphire, while maintaining its own unique and contemporary character.
The unheated nature of this gemstone ensures its vibrant colour is entirely natural, enhancing both rarity and intrinsic value. Much like a carefully selected Ceylon Sapphire, it displays authentic transparency and purity, qualities highly prized by collectors and connoisseurs. The pear shape, with its graceful taper and rounded edge, elongates the silhouette and adds elegance to any bespoke design.
Expert faceting maximises sparkle, allowing light to dance across the surface with refined brilliance. Comparable in desirability to a distinctive Ceylon Sapphire, this peach gemstone pairs beautifully with rose gold, platinum, or yellow gold settings. Whether crafted into a statement ring or added to a curated gemstone collection, it promises enduring sophistication, rarity, and lasting value for generations to come.
Imaging Accuracy
Imaging Accuracy
We understand that it can be hard to assess loose sapphires colours from photos alone. All our images and videos are taken by a specialist gemstone imaging company who produce images to 99% colour accuracy with ISO standard natural daylight in high magnification. This ensures you will get the best view for colour, clarity and any visible inclusions.
Whilst this is the most accurate representation of the stones colours, sapphire colours vary depending on the lighting conditions.
Certification
Certification
All our sapphires come certified, guaranteeing authentic natural sapphires from Sri Lanka. This will come in the form of a certificate on delivery of the sapphire. Certain stones may include extra certification by GIA or SSEF Switzerland, this will be highlighted in the description. Please do contact us if you wish to discuss any certifications.
Clarity Rating
Clarity Rating
While some sapphires can appear "eye-clean" (meaning no inclusions are visible to the naked eye), most natural sapphires do contain inclusions, which are considered natural characteristics and not necessarily flaws.
Our sapphires are graded in the below format:
Eye-Clean: This is the highest clarity grade for sapphires, meaning no inclusions are visible to the naked eye.
VVS (Very Very Slightly Included):These sapphires have very, very small inclusions that are difficult to see even under 10x magnification, and they typically appear eye-clean.
VS (Very Slightly Included):These sapphires have minor inclusions that are clearly visible under 10x magnification, but they might be difficult to see with the naked eye.
SI (Slightly Included):These sapphires have noticeable inclusions that are easy to observe under 10x magnification, and some may be visible to the naked eye.
I (Included):These sapphires have obvious inclusions that are easily visible under 10x magnification and may affect transparency and brilliance.
