Sapphire Description
Presenting a rare 1.35 carat Padparadscha Ceylon sapphire, unheated and expertly cut in a classic round shape, offering one of the most sought-after and distinctive colour combinations in the sapphire world. This exceptional gemstone displays a delicate blend of soft pink and warm orange tones, creating a natural sunset-like hue with remarkable elegance and individuality.
The round cut enhances the stone’s unique colour balance and light performance, with its symmetrical facets producing a lively, even sparkle that draws attention to its rare and romantic colouring. The result is a gemstone that feels both refined and highly distinctive, ideal for a statement sapphire ring or bespoke fine jewellery piece.
Being completely unheated, this Padparadscha sapphire retains its pure, natural formation without any enhancement. This is especially significant for this variety, as unheated examples are increasingly rare and highly prized for their authenticity and untouched beauty.
Carefully selected for its colour harmony, clarity, and rarity, this Ceylon sapphire is a truly exceptional centrepiece for fine jewellery of lasting value and uniqueness.
Imaging Accuracy
Imaging Accuracy
We understand that it can be hard to assess loose sapphires colours from photos alone. All our images and videos are taken by a specialist gemstone imaging company who produce images to 99% colour accuracy with ISO standard natural daylight in high magnification. This ensures you will get the best view for colour, clarity and any visible inclusions.
Whilst this is the most accurate representation of the stones colours, sapphire colours vary depending on the lighting conditions.
Certification
Certification
All our sapphires come certified, guaranteeing authentic natural sapphires from Sri Lanka. This will come in the form of a certificate on delivery of the sapphire. Certain stones may include extra certification by GIA or SSEF Switzerland, this will be highlighted in the description. Please do contact us if you wish to discuss any certifications.
Clarity Rating
Clarity Rating
While some sapphires can appear "eye-clean" (meaning no inclusions are visible to the naked eye), most natural sapphires do contain inclusions, which are considered natural characteristics and not necessarily flaws.
Our sapphires are graded in the below format:
VVS (Very Very Slightly Included):These sapphires have very, very small inclusions that are difficult to see even under 10x magnification.
VS (Very Slightly Included):These sapphires have minor inclusions that are clearly visible under 10x magnification, but they might be difficult to see with the naked eye.
SI (Slightly Included):These sapphires have noticeable inclusions that are easy to observe under 10x magnification, and some may be visible to the naked eye.
I (Included):These sapphires have obvious inclusions that are easily visible under 10x magnification and may affect transparency and brilliance.
