Sapphire Description

This stunning 0.93 carat tinted blue sapphire, shaped in a classic oval cut, is a refined choice for a sapphire ring or bespoke jewellery design. Its delicate blue tint offers a lighter interpretation of the tone admired in a fine Ceylon Sapphire, while the elongated silhouette enhances elegance on the hand. Expert faceting draws light evenly across the surface, revealing graceful brilliance and balanced saturation.

The oval cut provides both presence and sophistication, creating the illusion of greater size while maintaining harmonious proportions. Much like a beautifully balanced Ceylon Sapphire, this gemstone displays clarity and luminosity that give life to its gentle colour. Its soft yet radiant character makes it especially suited to engagement rings that seek individuality without compromising timeless appeal.

Ethically sourced and carefully selected for its quality, this natural sapphire reflects authenticity and thoughtful craftsmanship. Comparable in refinement to a classic Ceylon Sapphire, it offers versatility across a range of precious metal settings, from platinum to warm yellow gold. Its subtle tint pairs effortlessly with both modern minimalist designs and intricate vintage-inspired creations.

Offering beauty, rarity, and enduring worth, this sapphire is an exceptional gemstone for fine jewellery. Designed to be cherished for generations, it combines elegance with lasting value in a truly meaningful way.

Imaging Accuracy

We understand that it can be hard to assess loose sapphires colours from photos alone. All our images and videos are taken by a specialist gemstone imaging company who produce images to 99% colour accuracy with ISO standard natural daylight in high magnification. This ensures you will get the best view for colour, clarity and any visible inclusions.

Whilst this is the most accurate representation of the stones colours, sapphire colours vary depending on the lighting conditions.

Certification

All our sapphires come certified, guaranteeing authentic natural sapphires from Sri Lanka. This will come in the form of a certificate on delivery of the sapphire. Certain stones may include extra certification by GIA or SSEF Switzerland, this will be highlighted in the description. Please do contact us if you wish to discuss any certifications.

Clarity Rating

While some sapphires can appear "eye-clean" (meaning no inclusions are visible to the naked eye), most natural sapphires do contain inclusions, which are considered natural characteristics and not necessarily flaws.

Our sapphires are graded in the below format:

Eye-Clean: This is the highest clarity grade for sapphires, meaning no inclusions are visible to the naked eye.

VVS (Very Very Slightly Included):These sapphires have very, very small inclusions that are difficult to see even under 10x magnification, and they typically appear eye-clean.

VS (Very Slightly Included):These sapphires have minor inclusions that are clearly visible under 10x magnification, but they might be difficult to see with the naked eye.

SI (Slightly Included):These sapphires have noticeable inclusions that are easy to observe under 10x magnification, and some may be visible to the naked eye.

I (Included):These sapphires have obvious inclusions that are easily visible under 10x magnification and may affect transparency and brilliance.
